Your learning. Your data.
Privacy policy
Last updated: September 6, 2026
This policy describes how LearnThis!, developed by M-Holdings Group LLC, handles information in the app and when you contact us for support. Use of this website is also covered by our website privacy policy.
Information stored by the app
LearnThis! stores learner profiles and learning activity on your device. This includes the name or nickname and avatar color you choose, edition and starting point, lesson results, XP, levels, streaks, hearts, daily goals, review schedules, Power-Up history, mastery medals, and settings. Device preferences also remember the selected learner and unfinished introductions.
A nickname is enough. The app does not require a separate account, email address, date of birth, or school information. Profiles on a shared device can be seen by other people using that device.
How this information is used
The app uses this information to remember each learner’s place, recommend practice, show progress and parent reports, and run its learning and reward features. Lessons, answer checking, and Otto’s hints run in the app. Answers are not sent to an external AI service.
LearnThis! does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs, and we do not sell learner information or use it for advertising.
Apple iCloud sync
When iCloud is available, the app uses Apple’s CloudKit service to sync learner profiles and learning records through the private database associated with your Apple ID. Devices signed into the same Apple ID can share this progress. This is separate from a LearnThis! account; we do not operate a learner account server.
You can use the app offline or without iCloud. Settings shows the app’s current sync status. Apple manages iCloud under its own terms and privacy policy. Device backups and diagnostics, if enabled, are also governed by your Apple settings and Apple’s policies.
Optional reminders
Daily learning reminders require your permission and are scheduled locally on your device. You can turn reminders off in the app or change notification permission in your device’s Settings.
Children and shared devices
School Edition is designed for younger learners. A parent or guardian should help manage learner profiles, device access, iCloud settings, and any support requests. The app has no public learner profiles, social feed, or messaging between learners. A parent report is shown within the app on the shared device; it is not automatically sent to a school or to us.
Parents can use nicknames and manage or remove a child’s learner profile through Settings. Please contact us if you have a question about a child’s information or believe personal information was sent to us unnecessarily.
Retention, reset, and removal
Learning records remain on the device until you reset the learner’s progress or remove that learner. You → Settings provides those actions with confirmation. Removing a learner removes their associated learning records; the app requires at least one learner to remain.
When sync is active, changes are handled through iCloud and may take time to reach other devices. Uninstalling the app alone may not remove information already stored in iCloud or in device backups. Manage those copies through your Apple iCloud and backup settings. We cannot reset or restore your private on-device or iCloud progress from a support account.
When you contact support
If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you choose to include in the message, such as a device description or screenshot. We use this information to respond, troubleshoot, and maintain support records. It may be processed by our email service provider. Please send only information needed for the request, and ask us if you would like your support correspondence removed, subject to any retention obligations that apply.
Updates and contact
We will update this page and its date when these practices change. For privacy questions, contact support@m-holdings.llc.
